Abstract

Insecticide resistance in Anopheles stephensi from Lahore, Pakistan, extends to DDT, malathion and phenthoate. There is cross-resistance between malathion and phenthoate, but not between DDT and malathion or phenthoate. Malathion resistance in this population is inherited as a single, autosomal, semi-dominant gene.
