Yussif’s research interests lie at the intersection of public health, social science, and health systems research. His key areas of focus include maternal health and HIV in pregnancy, gender, masculinity and health, community health systems strengthening, implementation science, antimicrobial resistance and health systems, and health equity and inclusion.
Yussif plays an active role in teaching and learning at LSTM, contributing to postgraduate study programmes in global health, including Research Methods in Global Health, Public Health in Practice, and Advanced Clinical Management in HIV-Endemic Settings. He also supervises master’s and PhD students researching maternal health, HIV, and health systems strengthening.
In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This person’s work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
