Biography
Valirie Ndip joined Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine as a Medical Statistician in 2025. He holds an MD from the University of Yaoundé I and a Master's and DPhil in Epidemiology and Medical Statistics from the University of Oxford. Since 2015, he has collaborated with local and international organisations in Cameroon to design, conduct, and analyse nationwide epidemiological studies on infectious diseases, non-communicable diseases, and maternal and child health. Valirie supported the Ministry of Health in Cameroon as an epidemiologist to implement the country's national cancer registry. He has served as a peer reviewer and associate editor, and have published extensively in international journals.
Research interests
Valerie is interested in combining his training and experience in clinical medicine, epidemiology, and medical statistics to generate reliable evidence to guide the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of infectious and non-communicable diseases. He is particularly interested in the intersection between these disease areas.
