Biography
Leanne Crowley graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Forensic Science from John Moores University in 2018. She then secured the position of Research Technician at the Liverpool Insect Testing Establishment within Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM). In this role Leanne reared mosquitoes and conducted bioassays to assess resistance to new and repurposed insecticides and she gained hands-on experience in scientific research.
She currently holds the position of Programme Coordinator at iiDiagnostics, a spinout of LSTM, where she works closely with the Quality Assurance Officer and Document Controller. Leanne manages and updates the Quality Management Systems, prepares and presents reports on Key Performance Indicators, and ensures the smooth running of quality control processes. A significant part of her role also involves developing and managing the training matrix for all staff, identifying skills gaps, and ensuring that trained personnel are available for testing. She has earned certifications in Good Clinical Practice, Good Laboratory Practice, Laboratory Health & Safety, and Research Quality Association Auditing.
Teaching
As Training Manager, Leanne has introduced an up-to-date training Standard Operating Procedure and an individual competency matrix to assess staff performance effectively.
She recently received a fellowship award that has given her opportunities to expand my knowledge, connect with remarkable individuals, and engage in impactful work that will have a lasting influence on her field.
