Biography

Isabel Dymock graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Forensic Science from Liverpool John Moores University in 2018. She worked as a QA Sterility Microbiologist for Baxter Ltd in Malta gaining experience working to GLP, GMP and ISO Standards. Following this, she worked in the pharmaceutical industry as a QC Analyst. In 2021 Isabel joined Encirc Ltd as a Laboratory Technologist and helped to implement a 5S system and provided troubleshooting support for HPLC systems.
 
In 2022 she joined Liverpool School Tropical Medicine (LSTM) as a Document Controller and Archivist in the Liverpool Insect Testing Establishment. In this role Isabel oversees and implements the use of iPassport as a document and quality management system to Good Laboratory Practices standards. She also plays a direct role in Medicine and Healthcare Regulatory Agency audits of the Liverpool Insect Testing Establishment. Isabel reviews and ensures compliance with regulatory standards, verifying document retention processes, and assessing the effectiveness of archiving systems with the auditor.
 
She is an active member of the Research Quality Association and has participated in Process Mapping and SOP Writing, MHRA Lab Symposiums, Advanced Laboratory Practices, Data Integrity, and ISO9001:2015.

Teaching

Isabel provides Good Laboratory Practice introductory training to new starters and those using Liverpool Insect Testing Establishment facilities.
She delivers an ‘Introduction to Good Laboratory Practice’ session as part of the MSc Tropical Disease Biology program and also provides an overview of Good Laboratory Practice to work experience students participating in the In2STEM program.
