Biography
Research interests
Imri's research interests are focused on humanitarian practices. He is keenly interested in the ethics of humanitarian work, the relationships between the various stakeholders in the humanitarian spheres (states, non-state actors, international organisations, civil societies, communities, experts, armed-groups). He is also very interested in questions like solidarity and activism of humanitarians, and complex humanitarian contexts.
Teaching
In addition to leading the MSc in Humanitarian Studies and the Humanitarian Health stream, Imri is also the academic lead of the LEAP PGR Leadership Programme, a collaboration between LSTM, the University of Manchester and Médecins Sans Frontières. In that programme he teaches several modules on research and evidence in the humanitarian sphere. He also teaches on LSTM's Diploma of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene and Diploma in Tropical Medicine. Imri is also a co-lead on an undergraduate module provided by LSTM in the University of Liverpool's politics department about humanitarian action.
