Miss Debarpita Choudhury

Debarpita Choudhury is a Data Manager at the Global Health Clinical Trials Unit at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) where she oversees the management and integrity of clinical trial data. Her role focuses on ensuring data quality, accuracy, and compliance with international regulatory standards, while supporting trial operations globally through database development, data oversight, and endpoint management

Before joining LSTM, Debarpita worked for more than three years at a clinical research organisation as a Clinical Data Manager and Clinical Risk Manager. She worked on oncology and paediatric clinical trials for different sponsors, focusing on managing data and reducing risks in clinical research.

Debarpita holds a master’s degree in public health with a specialisation in epidemiology, that saw her collaborate with the UK Biobank on research that contributed to the field of population health. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she contributed to public health initiatives, gaining valuable frontline experience in large-scale health programmes. Debarpita also holds a bachelor’s degree in dental surgery and previously practiced as a dentist in India.

Her background in healthcare, public health, and clinical research helps her contribute to the success of global health studies and promote good data practices.

Debarpita supports with SQL training sessions at LSTM and enjoys sharing knowledge and supporting others in building strong research and data skills.
