Biography

Chloe Hui completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2022. Following this she worked as a Clinical Research Assistant at GenieBiome Limited Hong Kong, where she contributed to a clinical study in assessing the impact of a novel oral microbiome formula for alleviating post-COVID-19 vaccination side effects. This experience sparked her interest in data analysis and bioinformatics, leading her to embark on a bioinformatics-based project during her master's. Chloe gained her MRes at Imperial College London, which included a nine-month research project titled ‘Genomic Epidemiology of Trichophyton indotineae: A New Highly Drug-Resistant Fungal Species.’ The project involved DNA, genome sequencing, single nucleotide polymorphisms, and phylogenetic analysis.
Currently, Chloe is contributing to Prof. Christine Goffinet's group at Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine where she engages in HIV-1 research. Her work primarily revolves around bioinformatics, encompassing genome sequencing, developing automated pipelines, and analysing RNA-seq and ATAC-seq data. Chloe also works on developing a multi-dimensional model within the context of HIV-1 reversal latency.
