The Faculty of Biological Sciences is home to the Department of Tropical Disease Biology (TDB) and the Department of Vector Biology, both of which are global leaders in research, education, and innovation targeting infectious and vector-borne diseases. Together, they advance integrated, evidence-based approaches to reduce the burden of these diseases on the world’s most vulnerable populations. 

UN Sustainable Development Goals

In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. Our work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
